Before we get onto this fortnights challenge Samantha and I would like to announce our winners for the Top Tip Collector prizes that we ran a couple of weeks ago.
Here's my info....
Carol's Top Tip Collector Winner from Challenge 79 is
Congratulation Elizabeth, here's a pic of what I'll be sending you....
(along with anything else that might fall in the bag before I seal it!)
Elizabeth please e-mail me (add TTC Winner in subject)
.... cardscreatedby.carol@virgin.net
and Samantha's surprise package goes to....
Yes this is the Lisa S that is now a member of the TTT Design Team!
The competition was run the week before she joined us so we thought it unfair to take her out of the running because we'd asked her to join us.
Congrats to both of you x
On to this fortnights challenge....
All about Circles
We want to see circles in your projects!
Ingredients needed:
Die cutter, 8 1/2 x 11 card stock, Circle embossing folder mine is Cuttlebug
Design paper of choice, Circle Die larger size and one of at least 3" any style
Dimensional liquid, liquid adhesive, pop stick, Circle Sentiment, twinklets, ribbon of choice
Score board, Distress Ink, Momento Ink
I cut two of the scalloped die out from scrap stock to use as a topper
Because my die has inside decorations I wanted to keep, I cut away the scallops
Score the 8 12/11 card stock in half at 5 1/2 " and fold
Place the die above the fold and cut through your cutter
The light blue is now your card and the purple is the base of my topper
I also cut one circle from my DP, inked some flourishes on one edge and glued to fit inside my dark purple topper. Punched 5 or 6 circles in multiple sized and stamped some circle sentiments from Raindrop Echo Designs onto them
Using the Dimensional liquid, I filled in the stamped image only section of the circles
Top Tip: If you find bubbles inside, pin prick them to release the air
All of the circles were embossed with a circle folder through the Cuttlebug, I found a sentiment with circles too and used momento ink, glued around the edge and applied twinklets for the sparkle!
Then Die cut 3 Lacey circles, I used Spellbinders Nestabilities but any 2 1/2" to 3" die will work
Glue the first two together, hold till dry
Bend the first two outward and place glue on each edge for the third piece
Create a sentiment of choice and distress the edges while the cupcake flag dries
I use hot glue for the pop stick in the middle
Finished project with two pearl beads and a bow or two full of circles!
This was for the wonderful talented Top Tip Tuesday Birthday girl, Samantha!
Happy Birthday!

Ooh La La Creations is offering any 1 of their CDs!

We live in France. My daughter and I design the CD's. I started crafting about 20 years ago with glass painting and decorated furniture then started making cards for friends and family. We decided to design our own CD's as there was not much craft materials around when we moved here. We use living Artists for all of our CD's now and have recently shown our CD's on Create and Craft TV

Top Tip : There are some great fonts available for free and others can be really cheap. I used Scrap Snow font from ScrapnFonts which only cost $1, and I use it a lot on inserts for Christmas Cards so definitely get my money's worth from it. They also have some free ones!

Top Tip: When making Nappy Cakes use a piece of tubing (I used to use plastic drainage pipe from DIY store) to 'hold' all of the tiers together. I now save the inner tubes from cling film and foil...
Top Tip: Choose the correct paper scraps, punch and position and you can make a card just as gorgeous as with the best coloured image!
Top Tip: Use punches on your scraps of paper to create a layered designer paper behind your focal image.
Lisa M 2nd card using Tickled Pink Digital Paper from Redonkulous Designs
Samantha using Ribbit Boy from Redonkulous Designs
Top Tip: To add some dimension without adding foam pads print your image a few times and just stack sections like his pyjamas, This way you have the dimension without the height.

Top Tip: Next time you dine out save the paper coaster that the waiter/waitress passes out. I collected several round coasters to use in making my 99.9% circular mini album.
