Happy Birthday to us

Happy Birthday Dear Top Tip Tuesday
Happy Birthday to us!!!
YAY!

Its our 2nd Birthday on Friday the 7th September!
as the challenge runs for 2 weeks we thought the theme should be fun Birthday Theme

soooo our theme is

Birthday Gifts

ie - gifts, Wrapping/box/bag,
or use an image of a gift

Our Lovely Host for this challenge is Bettina
and she has an awesome Tutorial for us!

Hi
Bettina here.
I have a great tutorial for you on how to make a picnic box.

I hope I can inspire you to try to make your own version of it.

Tutorial Picnic box.

Accessories:
Bazill, DP, glue, magnets and decorations

This box measures 14 x 10 cm and it is 4 cm tall
I've been inspired by Randi's tutorial of the picnic box, and here's my version
I'll cut following pieces:
From the left
1.Handle 2cm x 30 cm
2. Piece to hold the lid 2cm x 18 cm. I'll make a folding edge on each side, 4 cm in on each side
3. Lid: 20,5 cmx 10,75 cm.  (as shown underneath)
4. Bottom to attach underneath the box: 10,75 cm x 14,75 cm
5. the box: 18 cm x 22 cm (folding edge 4 cm in from each side)
Cut the pieces of DP to decorate the box and handle.

Distress the edges with ink
Glue the bottom of the picnic box together and decorate with patterned papers.
Find the centre of the lid and attach the lid to the box.
Use crop a dile to make holes on the handle and make some small holes with a sharp tool on to the box and attach the handle with brads
Decorate in any way you want
I've chosen to go with the sentiment on to a butterfly and then attached it to the side of the handle

Awesome Tutorial and the Cutest picnic Box Bettina thank you!

Tip : I took the packaging from a fancy packet of teabags apart, scanned in the flattened packet to my computer and reduced it in size.  I then printed it out to use as a cutting template for this smaller version, which I cut out of shimmery bronze cardstock.
