and now our lovely Design team creations
Tip - Match elements of your design to bring it together.
Here' I've used a spotty ribbon (white spots on purple) to compliment the spotty backing papers (purple on white).

Tip - Need some background to match your stamp?? Find something in the image, like I did the die cut three, and add slightly behind the image and pop the image up a bit. Gives a great effect. You can also add some white flocking and sparkles to give a glittery and fluffy snow effect;)

Tip - I make around 200 Christmas cards and need them to be quick and easy. To dress up the stamp a little, I embossed the paper with Spellbinder's Decorative Labels 8, it adds interest without being too fussy.

Tip - Need a backdrop you can't find on the Internet?
Take your own picture and incorporate it into your card. Here is the side of my house with the gutter. :)

Tip - when you are deciding where everything will go on your layout set everything where you want it to go and then take a photo this way you can remember where you wanted everything to go when you start to add tape things can sometimes get muddled up.

Lisa S - George and Friends 4 from Stampfairy
Tip - Sewing is not my thing (yet) so I used a rub on border to anchor my background panel to my white base. I also stamped white snowflakes randomly on my background paper to lighten it up a bit.
Now its up to you all to show us what you got?
Remember Anything CHRISTMAS goes!!
hugs Samantha and the teamies
PLEASE NOTE this is a very busy time of year as you all can appreciate so we will do our VERY best to visit all of you!

Love your challenges. Having made quite a few cards with embossing last night, my top tip is to stamp and apply the embossing powder, then heat one card after another - that way the heat gun keeps at a good temperature and saves time waiting for it to heat up for each individual card. x
ReplyDeleteHazel, that's a fantastic tip! Time efficent as well. :)
DeleteThank you so much for joining us and sharing this.

My Tip is to use Stickles to create a glittery frame around the edges of a die cut shape.
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too much glitter! Especially this time of year. Thank you for sharing this :)

DeleteMy tip is... don't let the fact that you don't have an electronic cutting machine stop you from making pretty ornaments. They are do-able, they just take a little more time and effort :)
